STUDENT HEALTH INSURANCE: All student are expected to have health insurance coverage through a family or individual plan. CCU does not provide or endorse a specific student health insurance plan.

MANDATORY GROUP ACCIDENT INSURANCE: All full-time college and international graduate students are automatically enrolled in CCU's group accident insurance policy. This policy provides a benefit of up to $5000 for each covered injury. The accident policy works in conjunction with your primary insurance policy (and can cover deductibles and co-pays). Accident insurance coverage is for 12 months, beginning in August. It is not limited to accidents that occur on campus or while in school. The premium is automatically charged to eligible students.

The cost of the group accident policy for 2019-2020 is $115 for the school year.

INTERCOLLEGIATE SPORTS: In addition to the group accident policy, athletes who compete in team sports are covered by CCU's intercollegiate sports policy. Sports injury claims must first be submitted to a student's primary insurance company, followed by the group accident policy. Claims that are not covered by those two policies will be submitted to the intercollegiate sports policy. The CCU athletic training staff provides assistance in the submission of sports injury claims.

What happens when your education is disrupted by an unexpected injury or illness, or the death of the tuition payer? Depending on the timing of the withdrawal, you may not be eligible to receive a full refund of all your tuition and fees. Purchasing tuition insurance can help you and your family overcome the financial losses that may result from events which force you to withdraw from the semester due to a covered reason.
